Hyderabad: The Telangana government has taken a key decision. On February 4th of every year, the "Telangana Social Justice Day" will be declared, and CS Shanthikumar issued orders on Thursday. After the Congress government came to power, a resolution was passed in the state cabinet meeting on February 4, 2024, to undertake the BC community census. As part of this process, a discussion was held in the assembly on February 4th of this year regarding the BC community census, and key details were revealed.
The government considers the community census essential to gaining a clear understanding of the population of backward classes in the state and their socio-economic conditions. As part of this, it was decided to observe February 4th as Telangana Social Justice Day. Various programs will be held across the state every year on February 4th.
The policies related to spiritual, socio-economic, education, employment, political, and caste surveys, approval of recommendations for the sub-classification of scheduled castes, awareness programs on social justice, lectures, cultural programs, recognition awards, and welfare camps will be organized. The BC Welfare Department will coordinate these programs across the state. All welfare departments in the government will actively participate in these events and take steps to successfully organize the Social Justice Day, as mentioned by CS Shanthikumar.
